High in the foothills and overlooking the Capitol City of Idaho, this private residence, with its strong contemporary lines, incorporates numerous exterior terraces. This provides the Owner total interaction with the natural and undisturbed site features. The site naturally has a high level of climatic exposure. Consequently, the design incorporated very large roof overhangs providing protection from the sun and a “canopy” to gather beneath during the day. The overall geometry of the form changes dramatically depending on the orientation to the expansive view panorama.
